Foundation Statement

December 4, 2017

Over the last seven years, we have been honored to carry out the legacy of wife, mother and 32-year veteran educator, Mrs. Vickie S. Honeycutt, through her namesake foundation. Inspired by her fortitude and commitment to inspiring the lives of her students, we sought out to make a difference in assisting educators facing similar struggles with cancer.

Through your support, we’ve helped lift up more than 30 educators in need, providing them with valuable resources in their battles against cancer. Whether these dollars went to medical bills, transportation to and from treatments or even the basic necessities that helped enhance someone’s quality of life, we know your donations made a difference.

For that, we thank you. Your time and energies in showing up for our 5K’s bright eyed and ready to go or helping spread the word in our fundraising efforts truly showcased just how important Mrs. Honeycutt’s legacy is.

Dane and I have decided to step back from operating the Vickie S. Honeycutt Foundation for the foreseeable future. There are many worthy organizations fighting cancer and we hope you’ll share the same tremendous support you’ve provided to us with these non-profits in lieu of donating to the foundation moving forward.

The last seven years of your generosity has meant the world to Dane and I. We have been overwhelmingly grateful as you helped us make the lives of educators battling cancer better and brighter, all in the name of Mrs. Honeycutt, someone who meant so much to so many of us.
