Duke University Nonprofit Management – Certificate Program

We are honored to have our very own President, Adam White, be chosen as a participant in the Duke University Nonprofit Management Intensive Track Certificate Program.  This will be a great opportunity to learn from top leaders in the industry at one of the finest universities in the world!  Our commitment continues to be to expand our knowledge base so we can in turn continue our focus on helping educators in need.  This is another step in being able to establish that long-term impact.  Thanks to everyone for your continued support!!

Concord High School—THANKS!

Special thanks to everyone at Concord High for reaching out to us about one of your own, Mrs. Nancy Patterson.  It was an honor to be there last night and make a donation to someone that has spent 30+ years helping inspire and educate generations upon generations of young people.  We were honored to be there and be welcome in with such open arms!

First Annual Donor Appreciation Night

It was such a fun night bringing together some of our monthly donors with some of the families that we have been fortunate to support!  Thanks to everyone at Dave & Buster’s for being so accomodating.  Looking forward to making this an annual event!!

Longboarding USA and The Vickie S. Honeycutt Foundation

What a cool idea!  We are honored to have been selected by Longboarding USA as an organization they will promote on their trek across the country!  Extremely proud of these guys from Mt. Pleasant—they are like the Forest Gump’s of long boarding!!  Here is some more information from their webpage (http://www NULL.longboardingusa

Longboarding USA is a journey that two brothers from Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina are taking to spread awareness for various charities and ideas that break away from common every day commotion.  Caleb and Tanner Childs are setting off from Wilmington, NC and hoping to finish in San Francisco, CA.  Along the way they will attempt to encourage donations and an adventurous lifestyle to the many friends they will make.
We will keep you updated as it gets closer to their start date in May.

Our 2012 New Year’s Resolutions

It’s one thing to have New Year’s Resolutions but it’s another to be able to share and accomplish them with all of you!  Here are ours:

1.  Help at least one deserving educator a month

2.  Establish a scholarship in Mrs. Honeycutt’s name for a student in need

3.  Have 100 people donating monthly to strengthen our foundation

4.  Reach 5000 facebook Likes

5.  Most importantly, keep doing things we hope would make Mrs. Honeycutt proud

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, make today a gift.”  Let’s make 2012 special!!

Thanks to Mrs. Starnes and South Stanly High!

We were honored to be a part of the South Stanly basketball game where we presented one of their own a donation for her ongoing battle with cancer.  Special thanks to everyone that helped setup the surprise and for welcoming us into your school—it truly was a unforgettable evening!  To see video of the donation visit our Facebook page and click here (https://www NULL.facebook!/video/video NULL.php?v=2656347762520&notif_t=video_processed).
